The story of Azimut Benetti is that of a solid, reliable Group, of its founder Paolo Vitelli, and of a great entrepreneurial adventure.

The first chapters came with the sale of Tempo Sei, a night spot that Vitelli ran together with five friends. This was one of several businesses he was involved in during his university years.

Every summer, Vitelli used to rent a yacht and go off exploring the French coast: he acquired an enduring passion for the sea and for sailing, and he decided to turn this interest to account. So, together with a friend, he started chartering sailing boats to people in Turin The year was 1969, and Azimut was born.
